Greta Van Fleet Release Single “When the Curtain Falls”

Hard rock band Greta Van Fleet have dropped their new single, “When the Curtain Falls.” The single’s release comes months after anticipation towards the band’s debut album which is set to come out later this year.

Greta Van Fleet made a name for themselves last summer when they released the Black Smoke Rising EP. The debut release features four hard rocking songs that are strikingly similar to Led Zeppelin. Lead singer Josh Kiszka has been compared to Robert Plant on a number of occasions and the band has even been called “Led Zeppelin for Generation Z.” The band has stated, however, that Led Zeppelin were not a primary influence for them.

In November 2017, Greta Van Fleet released another EP, From the Fires. The record includes all four songs from the previous release plus four new songs. The EP quickly reached number one on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Album chart. Meanwhile, the singles “Highway Tune” and “Safari Song” both enjoyed time as the top song on the Billboard Mainstream Rock and Active Rock charts.

“When the Curtain Falls” returns the hard rock sound Greta Van Fleet has made their own. The instrumentation is reminiscent of 60s and 70s blues artists and Kiszka’s vocals are as good as ever. This teaser is likely the first taste of Greta Van Fleet‘s well-anticipated debut album.
