METALLICA frontman James Hetfield and Ex-VAN HALEN singer Sammy Hagar held their second annual Acoustic-4-A-Cure concert at The Masonic in San Francisco.
Special guests included Jerry Cantrell, Pat Monahan, Linda Perry, Joe Satriani, Chad Smith and more. Fan-filmed video from the event can be seen below, including footage of Hetfield performing with his 16-year-old daughter Cali.
When asked by Independent Journal why they mostly booking Northern California acts, Hagar answers: “The reason I am doing it is because we want to keep expenses down. You can’t fly people in from other towns and put them up in big suites. Half of the people on this show live pretty high, and you can’t lowball them.”
