Independent reports that a hologram of late Amy Winehouse will embark on a world tour in 2019.

The hologram will be accompanied by digitally remastered versions of Amy‘s staple tracks and a live band with backing singers. The concert will reportedly last for up to 110 minutes.

Speaking about the news, her father, Mitch, said: “To see her perform again is something special that really can’t be put into words. Our daughter’s music touched the lives of millions of people and it means everything that her legacy will continue in this innovative and groundbreaking way.”

Mitch added that Winehouse family and BASE Hologram are finalizing plans “to incorporate fundraising and awareness campaign for The Amy Winehouse Foundation in concert with the worldwide tour.”

Brian Becker, the founder/CEO of BASE Hologram, said: “Amy was a powerhouse in every sense of the word. She played by her own rules, pioneered her own sense of style of music and because of that we know she is the perfect person to headline this type of project.”

Winehouse died from alcohol poisoning in July 2011 at the age of 27.
