Swedish occult rockers GHOST have revealed that the title for their 3rd album will be “Meliora” (Latin for “better”) according to HardDriveRadio.com. Album should be released on August 21.

GHOST‘s appearance on June 4 at Sweden Rock Festival will be the band’s first live debut with “new” singer Papa Emeritus III, the three-month-younger brother of GHOST‘s previous frontman, Papa Emeritus II.

GHOST‘s last release was a covers EP, “If You Have Ghost” was produced by Dave Grohl and released on November 20, 2013 through Republic Records. Four of the five tracks are covers of other acts; I’m a Marionette and “Waiting for the Night” were originally released on various editions of GHOST‘s second album “Infestissumam“, while the two others are newly recorded. The fifth is a live recording of GHOST‘s own Secular Haze from the band’s July 28, 2013 performance at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York City.

“Infestissumam” was certified gold in Sweden last fall for sales in excess of 20,000 copies, and sold around 14,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 28 on The Billboard 200 chart.
