Alternative Nation reports that journalists have to sign a “bizarre” contract in order to interview GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist Slash these days.
The source points at the journalist who recently interviewed the guitarist for Classic Rock, who wrote:
“There are people who are worried about our conversation. Before I can speak to Slash, I have to sign a contract that says that if anything goes wrong – if some kind of s**t hits the fan because of what I write – and GN’R lose money, then Classic Rock carries the can.
“This is no small thing when you’re dealing with the fourth biggest-earning tour of all time. There is paranoia around. The ‘Not in This Lifetime’ tour took a lifetime to put together, and no one wants to be the one to f**k it up.
“You might not have noticed, but Guns N’ Roses haven’t really talked to anyone since they reformed. They haven’t done an interview.”
The source adds:
“Slash has been doing press recently to promote his new album ‘Living the Dream’ with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, but since Guns N’ Roses reunited he had not done a proper interview.
“Axl Rose and Duff McKagan did some limited press in 2016 and 2017, but rarely discussed the current state of Guns N’ Roses.”
