Statement by Timo Rotten:“The Sound of Your Voice is probably one of the saddest songs I’ve ever written. You might think of it as a classic break-up song about an ended romantic relationship or a lost friendship. But if you know our history, you’ll figure it out pretty fast. This song breaks my heart. It couldn’t get any more personal than that.”
“The Sound of Your Voice” shows OCEANS at their most vulnerable moment. A story about the shared past of several of the band’s members.
The video was shot in 3 hours and is written, directed and shot by Timo Rotten. A clear proof of the creative possibilities of the band’s DIY approach.
