RYAN C. SCHMEISTER Streams ‘Tranquility’ In Its Entirety

We at Metal Addicts are honored to be able to premiere you Ryan C. Schmeister‘s debut full length album Tranquility. Album comes out today on a “pay what you want” basis on Bandcamp or you can stream it for free in the widget below.

Ryan is a solo progressive metal artist from Powell River, British Columbia, Canada who is inspired by many bands and musicians such as Devin Townsend, Anathema, Alcest, Wintersun, Type O Negative, U2 and more.

Ryan wrote, produced, recorded, programmed, engineered, mixed and mastered Tranquility over the course of four years.

He comments: “I started writing Tranquility in 2014, around the same time as I got my first proper recording equipment. I also began seriously practicing my vocals around that time. Over the years, I created many terribly mixed instrumental demos that would eventually be refined in to the songs on Tranquility as I became a more competent songwriter, vocalist, musician and producer. In a way, I view Tranquility as a sister album to Vorean, a blackened death metal album that I released last year and worked on concurrently. Of the two albums/projects, I am much more proud of Tranquility. I guess you could say that Vorean and the self-titled album were more of a studio experiment, whereas Tranquility and the works I release under my real name are, to me, very serious musical statements. Something that I am proud to say I created and would be happy making a career of.”
