SLAYER Announce Their ‘Last French Show Ever’

According to Ultimate-Guitar.com, SLAYER have announced their first show of 2019.

They will be playing Hellfest (along with the likes of MANOWAR, CARCASS, MASS HYSTERIA and DROPKICK MURPHYS), which will take place from June 21st to the 23rd in France, and according to its leaders Tom Araya (bass, vocals) and Kerry King (guitar), it will be SLAYER‘s last-ever live performance in that country.

In a video announcement via Facebook, Araya comments, “We will be playing our last French show EVER!” King adds, “Next year, in Hellfest, we will be doing our last-ever performance in France. I expect to see you all there. Send us off with shots of beer, some horns, whatever you got.”

SLAYER just recently wrapped up the first North American leg of their farewell tour, supported by LAMB OF GOD, BEHEMOTH, ANTHRAX and TESTAMENT. All those bands (except BEHEMOTH, who will be replaced by NAPALM DEATH) will once again support Slayer on the second leg of their final U.S. tour this July and August. This will be followed by a European trek in November and December, and the openers are LAMB OF GOD, ANTHRAX and OBITUARY.

Although Slayer haven’t announced any more dates between the European tour and Hellfest yet, rumors are circulating that they will be teaming up with MEGADETH, SEPULTURA and TESTAMENT for a reboot of the “Clash Of The Titans” tour, and there’s reportedly talk of at least one more “Big Four” show with METALLICA, MEGADETH and ANTHRAX.
