Rose Menza, mother of late Nick Menza said that MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine agreed and has graciously offered to do a tribute for Nick Menza sometime during the end of the year.
She said: “Nicholas Menza, Nick Menza‘s 15 year old son reached out to Dave Mustaine to ask if a tribute for their Dad from MEGADETH was a possibility. Dave agreed and has graciously offered to do a tribute sometime during the end of the year. Both Nicholas and Donte are very excited and appreciate Dave‘s offer. We would love to announce a date for this tribute show as soon as possible. Nick‘s Birthday is July 23rd and it would be a great day to make an announcement. Thank you Dave!”
Nick Menza died on May 21, 2016 after succumbing to heart failure while performing with his band, OHM, in Los Angeles.
Menza recorded drums on four of MEGADETH‘s albums “Rust In Peace” (1990), “Countdown To Extinction”(1992), “Youthanasia” (1994), and “Cryptic Writings” (1997).
