70000 Tons Of Metal Issues Statement On Allegations Involving SKELETAL REMAINS Frontman

70000 Tons Of Metal organizers have issued an official statement addressing the recent allegations involving SKELETAL REMAINS vocalist and guitarist Chris Monroy.

As previously reported, multiple attendees took to social media and Reddit following last week’s sailing — widely promoted as the world’s largest heavy metal cruise — alleging that Monroy was intoxicated throughout much of the trip and engaged in non-consensual physical contact with several women. Posts circulating online claimed there were multiple witnesses and alleged victims, and some accounts suggested that festival staff intervened by restricting Monroy’s movements for the remainder of the cruise. Other widely shared posts went further, alleging that he had been banned from future sailings.

Amid the online backlash and growing speculation, the festival’s organizers provided a statement to MetalSucks addressing the situation: “Our security team was made aware of a situation during the cruise and promptly interviewed all parties involved to defuse the matter. After reviewing the information available at the time, no further action was warranted.”

70000Tons Of Metal is a very friendly and inclusive environment, and we take the safety and well-being of our guests, crew, and artists extremely seriously. We also have a clear code of conduct that we hold everyone on board to, including guests and musicians alike.”

As of press time, Monroy and representatives for SKELETAL REMAINS have not issued a public statement regarding the accusations.
