AC/DC return to the road in the United States for the first time in nine years on the 2025 Power Up North American Tour! The band will perform in 13 stadiums coast-to-coast next spring — kicking off on April 10, 2025, in Minneapolis, MN at US Bank Stadium, canvases the continent, and concludes on May 28, 2025, in Cleveland, OH at Huntington Bank Stadium.
AC/DC wrapped up the 24th and final show of their “Power Up” European tour on August 17, 2024, at Dublin’s Croke Park in Ireland.
The “Power Up” European tour was AC/DC‘s first with their new touring lineup, featuring singer Brian Johnson, guitarists Angus and Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and their latest addition, bassist Chris Chaney.
When announcing Matt Laug‘s addition to the Power Trip lineup, AC/DC did not provide any explanation for the absence of longtime drummer Phil Rudd, who had returned to the band for the recording of their comeback album, Power Up, released in November 2020.
In 2015, Rudd pled guilty to charges of threatening to kill a former employee and drug possession. As a result, he was sentenced to eight months of home confinement.
Rudd‘s legal team fought this sentence, arguing that it was disproportionately damaging to his music career. They pointed out that Rudd‘s inability to travel due to the sentence was preventing him from reuniting with his band, AC/DC. However, the judge was unsympathetic to these arguments, implying that bands can replace members.
AC/DC‘s previous tour, which occurred in 2015 and 2016, grossed $180 million, with 2,310,061 tickets sold according to Pollstar box office reports.
