AC/DC Launches Summer 2025 European Tour In Prague With Czech President Watching (Video)

AC/DC Prague 2025

Legendary hard rockers AC/DC kicked off the summer leg of their massive 2025 European “Power Up” tour on Thursday night (June 26) in Prague, Czech Republic, delivering a thunderous performance at Letiště Praha Letňany. The show drew a crowd of around 60,000 fans, including none other than Czech President Petr Pavel.

A longtime rock fan, President Pavel has been spotted at several high-profile shows recently, including performances by Bruce Springsteen and Alanis Morissette. His presence at AC/DC’s kickoff show added an extra dose of prestige to an already electrifying evening.

The “Power Up” tour takes its name from AC/DC’s 2020 studio album Power Up, which debuted at No. 1 in more than 20 countries, including Australia and the U.S. The album earned Grammy nominations in multiple categories—Best Rock Album, Best Rock Performance, and Best Music Video for the single “Shot in the Dark.” It also made year-end “Best Of” lists from Rolling Stone and Consequence of Sound.

With founding guitarist Angus Young leading the charge and Brian Johnson back behind the mic, AC/DC continues to prove they’re one of rock’s most enduring forces. The European leg will take them through stadiums across the continent until late August.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there.

After nearly a decade, AC/DC is heading back home. The band recently announced their first Australian tour since 2015, set for November and December 2025, with five stadium stops and multiple dates added due to overwhelming demand.

Kicking off at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 12, the tour will hit all major cities, including Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, and Brisbane.
