Fans hoping to rock out with AC/DC in Nashville last night had to put their plans on pause as the band’s highly anticipated show at Nissan Stadium was postponed due to dangerous weather conditions.
Originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, the concert has been officially rescheduled to tonight, Wednesday, May 21. AC/DC made the announcement via social media, stating: “Tonight’s AC/DC show at Nissan Stadium has been rescheduled to tomorrow, May 21 due to inclement weather. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. Ticket purchasers will receive an email with more information.”
The decision comes amid a significant weather threat affecting the Middle Tennessee area. According to The Tennessean, the region is currently at an “enhanced risk” level for severe storms, with threats including damaging winds exceeding 70 mph, quarter-sized hail, and the possibility of tornadoes. A tornado watch remains in effect for the area until 10 p.m.
The concert, part of AC/DC’s “Power Up” tour, was set to kick off at 7 p.m. with support from rock band THE PRETTY RECKLESS. While the delay is a disappointment to fans eager to see the legendary rockers live, safety concerns understandably took top priority.
As of now, the show is expected to go on tonight under safer weather conditions. Fans are advised to keep an eye on official updates and check their email for any further instructions from ticket providers.
