Even though I complain a lot about the predicability of some Power Metal bands I have to say that I do love it. Especially when comes a band as Aeon Gods, a band we reviewed their latest 2024 album “King of Gods,” an album that called my attention due to its iconography and, of course, the music.
Well, as a matter of fact, “Reborn to Light” is a continuation of the previous album. As I always say do not mess with success. I do not like that change for change’s sake. Changes must come for a reason, or reasons. The combination Helloween plus Rhapsody and a lot of Symphonic Metal features goes on what, for where I am standing means a lot. I tend not to like bands that promote a hell of changes each album, bands to which each album must have be different from the previous. No, sir. Not for me. Of course, as everything in life on this sad and lonley and pathetic little planet, there are honorable exceptions.
With “Reborn to Light” Aeon Gods dive deep into Egyptian miths. I don’t know if I have not noticed before, but even the musicians adopted egyptian names. I love voices as Alex ʹSol’Ra-tuʹ Hunzinger whose melodic lines take the lead and fill up the space with melodies. I love singers, if you know what I mean. Metal music has a tradition of delivering wonderful voices. Alex ʹSol’Ra-tuʹ Hunzinger’s is one of them. But what I like the most is fast tracks as “The Sacred Union (Amduat pt. II)” with that typical Power Metal drumming. Or more cadenced ones as “Soldiers Of Re (Amduat pt. III).”
“Reborn to Light” is a great combination of music and iconography. The killer combination Aeon Gods delivered here worked wondrously. Predictable? Yeah, just a little, but marvelous.
Aeon Gods “Reborn to Light” will be released on February 20th via Scarlet Records.

I’m just a lucky guy who has chosen metal to live with for a long time. Metal changed my life for good. It made me more confident and stronger. Metalheads are naturally far away from the mass mediocrity and don’t accept impostures from anybody else. Metal is more than music, it’s a life changing oportunity!
