ALEXANDER BLACKSTAR Unveils New Music Video For ‘Emerge From The Dark’

Alexander Blackstar

Multi-expressionist artist Alexander Blackstar just dropped a new track and video, “Emerge from the Dark.” His new record, Stellanera, is out November 26.

His music and aesthetic are a legacy of American shock rockers like Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne, and Jim Morrison. As a descendant of several generations of painters, Blackstar attaches a lot of importance to the connection between words and visuals in his art.

“The music video was shot in three different locations in Morocco: an oasis, the Sahara desert and in a village especially made for a movie studio,” says Blackstar. “These places are usually used for shooting the scenes of big American blockbusters like Gladiator, The Last Temptation of Christ or even the show Games of Thrones. I flew a part of my personal team to North Africa, and we’ve worked with an executive production over there on the making of this unique project. It truly was a very enriching experience for me.”

The album as a whole was inspired by different theories around creation, including the Big Bang. Blackstar uses this imagery throughout to illustrate the principle of emergence, both in his own creative vision and his personal journey.

“Lyrically, this song sums up the different points attached to my ambition as a young rock artist and what I’m willing to do in order to get where I want,” he adds. “Even if some people could think the opposite, I am very determined to make the difference, whatever the cost is. I consider my career as an odyssey, where each project is a new test to pass through, making me more experienced and closer to reaching the accomplishment of my objectives, my own personal Olympus. Of course there will be some difficulties, but who took the sea and never knew some storms?”
