ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ Launches New Band BLUE MEDUSA

Alissa White-Gluz New Band Members

Former Alissa White-Gluz, known for her work with ARCH ENEMY and THE AGONIST, has officially announced the launch of a new band called BLUE MEDUSA. The project marks a new chapter for the vocalist following her departure from ARCH ENEMY in late 2025.

White-Gluz revealed the news on social media, sharing details about the lineup and the vision behind the project.

She wrote on social media post: “The year of the snake is finally over — now it’s time to shed the skin.

“Today, on International Women’s Day, I’m proud to announce my new band: BLUE MEDUSA.

“After twenty years performing on the world’s biggest stages, I’m entering a new creative chapter. BLUE MEDUSA is the next evolution of everything I’ve been building toward; a project where my full artistic vision can exist without limits. You’ll hear blazing guitar solos, crushing riffs, brutal vocals, fast and aggressive drums, thoughtful melodies, and deeply introspective lyrics layered with meaning.

BLUE MEDUSA features an incredible lineup of musicians:
Alyssa Day – guitar; Dani Sophia – guitar. Joining us live on drums and bass will be two absolute powerhouses: Delaney Jaster – drums; Alicia Vigil – bass

“I chose to share this news on International Women’s Day because building stronger platforms for women in heavy music is something I care deeply about.

“I’ve been carving my own path in this genre for a long time, and I want to help pave the road for the next generation of women who love metal as much as I do.

“Medusa turned people to stone…
I want to pave the road in sapphire.

“New music is coming soon.
First live appearances: Louder Than Life and Aftershock.”

This announcement follows White-Gluz’s departure from ARCH ENEMY, which was made official on November 23, 2025. The band shared on social media: “ARCH ENEMY have parted ways with singer Alissa White-Gluz. We’re thankful for the time and music we’ve shared and wish her all the best. Wherever there is an ending, there is also a beginning. See you in 2026.”

Just hours after announcing her departure, White-Gluz released “The Room Where She Died,” the first single from her upcoming debut solo album. The track represents a bold and immediate shift in her musical direction, giving fans a glimpse of the creative path she is taking in this new chapter.

The music for the single was composed by Oliver Palotai, keyboardist for KAMELOT, while White-Gluz handled all vocals, writing, and recording herself. In a statement about the release, she said: “I hope you love this first offering from my upcoming solo album.

‘The Room Where She Died’ is a song that feels truly satisfying to me; like I get to express myself in so many ways that have been dormant for years.

“This upcoming album is diverse; and I love the idea of opening up this new chapter with this song and video, which I wrote the script for.

“Can’t wait to share more with you!”
