The immeadiate fan reaction to “Sunsetter” is an enthusiastic feeling that comes from the exciting music the album delivers. All Hell dive into the inferno of Old School Extreme Metal with all its Hardcore influences and raw music. By raw, I mean a band that is musically performing its best regarding to the performance of its instruments, but it cannot be called prowness. Yes, “Sunsetter” is a well-thought and conceived album. The fan realizes that, so, it is not possible to say it is a low-fi production. It is the enthusiastic and energetic atmopshere of the songs that make this album great. All Hell are a well greased machine that functions perfectly fine. That’s the feeling.
“Sunsetter” celebrates the Hardcore roots of Extreme Metal and its 1980s heroes as Venom, most notably, Nuclear Assault and others. It is almost a Crossover album, I said almost because the album is perfectly tuned with the atmosphere of the early Extreme Metal they homage. While some bands are dark, others are sombers, All Hell are energetic with high doses of a teenage adrenaline that makes the fan headbang from day one. From where I am standing, a great choice.
It was a great pleasure to listen to “Sunsetter” for at least four times – well, my average is two times, however, occasionally, I do it a little more. The tracks are short for modern Extreme Metal terms, raging from two or three minutes of length which makes them some kind of rapid fire as Hardcore roots tells. The cadence is frentic, almost like a machine gun – between you and me, all great Metal music follows this path. From day one, the fan will realize that with album first round “Exiled Into Nod” whose drums filling knocks out the fan immediately. All the guitars interventions – when they happen – are short and kind of naive as “The Bleeding“ showcases, but they fit very well to the mood of the album. The catchy main riff of album title track “Sunsetter“ got me by the guts and I am still humming it in my mind. The kind of album that will please many metallers of all subgenres.

I’m just a lucky guy who has chosen metal to live with for a long time. Metal changed my life for good. It made me more confident and stronger. Metalheads are naturally far away from the mass mediocrity and don’t accept impostures from anybody else. Metal is more than music, it’s a life changing oportunity!
