ARCH ENEMY Teases Possible Reunion With ANGELA GOSSOW

Swedish melodic death metal titans ARCH ENEMY have ignited speculation about a reunion with former frontwoman Angela Gossow, just months after confirming the departure of longtime vocalist Alissa White-Gluz.

Earlier today, fans began connecting the dots after both ARCH ENEMY and Gossow posted the exact same cryptic teaser to their Instagram accounts. While the clip does not explicitly show Gossow, the synchronized rollout immediately raised eyebrows. Adding even more intrigue, both parties simultaneously blacked out their profile pictures — a classic social media reset that rarely happens without a bigger announcement looming.

The buzz comes in the wake of White-Gluz’s exit, which was officially announced on November 23, 2025. The band wrote on social media: “ARCH ENEMY have parted ways with singer Alissa White-Gluz. We’re thankful for the time and music we’ve shared and wish her all the best. Wherever there is an ending, there is also a beginning. See you in 2026.”

White-Gluz joined ARCH ENEMY in 2014 after Gossow stepped down from the band’s frontwoman role. At the time, Gossow described her departure as a personal decision, writing: “While I have enjoyed my time with the group, it is time for me to move on, be with my family and pursue other interests.” She also made it clear she would remain involved behind the scenes as the band’s business manager and personally endorsed her successor, saying she was “passing the torch to the super talented Alissa White-Gluz, whom I’ve known as a dear friend and a superb vocalist for many years. I always thought she deserved a chance to shine – and now she’s getting it. Just like I got that chance back in 2001.”
