Swedish / American / Canadian metallers ARCH ENEMY will make their much-anticipated return to North American soil this October/November. Support on the tour will come from KREATOR, HUNTRESS and STARKILL.
ARCH ENEMY‘s headlining trek will be the band’s first tour in the U.S. since 2011, and the first American run to feature new members Alissa White-Gluz (vocals) and Nick Cordle (guitar).
Comments ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott: “It’s been three long years since ARCH ENEMY last played North America, but now the wait is over!
“We’re riding a veritable metal tsunami in Europe with our new album, ‘War Eternal’, and look forward to spreading the chaos on this North American run!
“ARCH ENEMY is very proud and excited to be teaming up with Teutonic thrash titans KREATOR as well as HUNTRESS and STARKILL! Miss this show at your own peril!”
KREATOR‘s Mille Petrozza (vocals, guitar) adds: “Both bands have been talking about touring together for many years, now it becomes reality: KREATOR and ARCH ENEMY on one bill in the USA and Canada!
“We are looking forward to another killer run in support of our album, ‘Phantom Antichrist’, before we will start writing new stuff in 2015! With ARCH ENEMY‘s new album ‘War Eternal’ being a monster, this will be THE metal tour of the fall. Don`t miss it!”

ARCH ENEMY played its first show with Alissa White-Gluz, former vocalist of THE AGONIST, on May 23 at Turbohalle in Bucharest, Romania. Angela Gossow, who joined ARCH ENEMY in 2000 and made her debut on the now-classic “Wages Of Sin” (2001), has stepped down as frontwoman and will focus on management, while Alissa takes her place.
Ubooks recently released the English edition of Hilmar Bender‘s book “Violent Evolution: The Story Of Kreator”.
Originally published in German in March 2011 through UBooks Verlag, the 221-page book is described as follows: “‘Violent Evolution’ tells the story of KREATOR — the titans of Teutonic thrash — from the coal-mining town of Essen, Germany. It is the story of a group of bored teenagers who brought the brutality of everyday life into the rehearsal room. They let their hair grow, formed a band and landed a record deal before they had even reached twenty.
KREATOR‘s new concert DVD/Blu-ray, “Dying Alive”, entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 9.
“Dying Alive” was released on August 30, 2013 via Nuclear Blast. The set features the band’s sold-out homecoming show in Oberhausen, Germany on December 22, 2012 after an extensive 45-day European tour in support of KREATOR‘s “Phantom Antichrist” album. The packed and sweat-driven show was filmed by 24 cameras, as well as guitar and even mosh-pit cams.
The DVD/Blu-ray contains footage of the Oberhausen concert, a behind-the-scenes documentary as well as video clips. Approximate total running time: 115 minutes.
