During an appearance on Riffhard podcast, Jeff Loomis revealed that he’s been working on a new solo album, and will start working on new ARCH ENEMY record really soon.

When asked on what he’s been up to during pandemic, he responded: “I’ve been working on a solo album these last few months. It’s my third solo album for Century Media, it’s gonna be an all-instrumental thing. So really I’ve keeping busy doing that, doing guest solos for people. I’m actually writing a little bit of music for video games.”

“I’m also doing solos for the new ARCH ENEMY album” Jeff continued. “I don’t even know when we’re going to release that yet, but I’m gonna start work on that very soon. We have a tentative tour coming up for September, if that happens. Let’s hope so.”

This record will mark Loomis‘ second album with ARCH ENEMY.

ARCH ENEMY‘s latest album, Will To Power, was released in September 2017 and it is the first album to feature Jeff Loomis who joined the band in November 2014. It is also the first ARCH ENEMY album to feature a song with clean singing as lead vocals; the song, “Reason to Believe,” is referred to as “their first ever, largely clean-sung power ballad.”

ARCH ENEMY and BEHEMOTH have previously announced announced European tour for Autumn 2021, with special guests CARCASS. Details for the tour can be found here.
