ARCH ENEMY’s New Teaser All But Confirms ANGELA GOSSOW’s Return

Angela Gossow

UPDATE: Angela Gossow has clarified on Instagram that she is not returning as Arch Enemy’s vocalist, stating: “It’s not ME! But thank you for all the love! I am really excited to be involved in this new chapter as the manager💪 This is gonna CRUSH!”

Swedish melodic death metal heavyweights ARCH ENEMY have released a second teaser video — and this one is sending reunion speculation into overdrive.

The new clip ends with a striking visual: a woman wearing gloves — reminiscent of the style long associated with former frontwoman Angela Gossow — stepping forward and gripping a microphone. While her face is not shown, the imagery feels anything but accidental. For longtime fans, the gloves are an unmistakable throwback to Gossow’s onstage presence during her years at the helm.

The teaser arrives shortly after the band and Gossow simultaneously posted a cryptic video and blacked out their profile pictures, sparking initial reunion rumors. Now, with this second clip leaning even harder into the symbolism, speculation has intensified dramatically.

Fueling the fire further, rumors are circulating that ARCH ENEMY will release a brand-new single titled “To the Last Breath” on February 19. The band has yet to officially confirm the track or its release date, but the timing would align with the ongoing teaser campaign.

All of this unfolds just months after the departure of longtime vocalist Alissa White-Gluz. On November 23, 2025, the band announced: “ARCH ENEMY have parted ways with singer Alissa White-Gluz. We’re thankful for the time and music we’ve shared and wish her all the best. Wherever there is an ending, there is also a beginning. See you in 2026.”

Gossow stepped down as vocalist in 2014, calling it a personal decision, but remained involved as the band’s business manager and publicly endorsed White-Gluz as her successor. For years, she has largely stayed behind the scenes — making the recent coordinated teasers all the more intriguing.

At this point, there has been no official confirmation that Gossow is returning to the microphone. But between the gloved figure, the synchronized social media reset, and whispers of a new single arriving February 19, it’s clear that ARCH ENEMY are building toward something major.
