AS I LAY DYING are set to return to the United States this fall for a special run celebrating the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album Shadows Are Security. The upcoming trek marks another chapter in the band’s ongoing anniversary campaign, which has already taken them across Europe, Russia, and Israel over the past year.
Billed as the final stretch of shows dedicated to the 2005 record, the U.S. leg will begin on November 20 in Roseville, California, and wrap up in early December after a coast-to-coast series of dates.
The band’s schedule for the tour is as follows:
Nov 20 – Goldfield Trading Post, Roseville, CA
Nov 21 – The Whisky, Los Angeles, CA
Nov 22 – Crescent Ballroom, Phoenix, AZ
Nov 24 – 191 Toole, Tucson, AZ
Nov 25 – Sunshine Theater, Albuquerque, NM
Nov 27 – House Of Rock, Corpus Christi, TX
Nov 28 – Trees, Dallas, TX
Nov 29 – Come And Take It Live, Austin, TX
Dec 1 – The Federal, Denver, CO
Dec 2 – Black Sheep, Colorado Springs, CO
Frontman Tim Lambesis reflected on the significance of revisiting the album that helped define the band’s early trajectory, also noting how the experience has influenced their current creative direction.
He stated: “I’ve had an incredible time celebrating Shadows Are Security over the past year and reconnecting with the mindset that shaped that album in the earliest days of AS I LAY DYING. Reflecting on that chapter has been both nostalgic and deeply motivating—it’s reminded me of a spark that was always there, and that renewed perspective has absolutely influenced the way I’ve approached writing for the new album. These final anniversary dates are a chance to celebrate that connection one last time with the fans who have been part of this journey.”
Alongside marking the end of the anniversary cycle, the band has also suggested that additional U.S. touring is already being planned for early 2027, hinting that this run is not the end of their domestic activity.
Ticketing for the tour will roll out in stages, beginning with a BandsInTown presale on Wednesday, May 13 at 10:00 a.m. local time using the password “AILD”. Venue presales follow on Thursday, May 14, with general on-sale opening Friday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
The announcement also arrives in the context of a heavily revised lineup, as the current iteration of the band formed after a full membership overhaul last year following renewed controversy surrounding Lambesis, making this the first major U.S. tour for the refreshed lineup.
