After bassist Ryan Neff‘s departure, AS I LAY DYING‘s tour manager Alex Kendrick has also stepped down from working with the band.
He wrote in a short statement: “I no longer work for AS I LAY DYING — I do not wish to be asked questions nor will I answer any. I’ve made life long memories that will never be forgotten but my chapter of the book has completed. I wish everyone the best of luck and clearly I’m still rocking with Phil out here.
AS I LAY DYING was set to kick off an upcoming European tour with CALIBAN, DECAPITATED, and OV SULFUR, starting in Würzburg, Germany, on November 15th. However, it appears that dates for the tour are now being canceled as well.
According to Lambgoat, the website for Progresja, a venue in Warsaw, Poland that’s part of the tour, indicates that the event scheduled for November 26th has been canceled.
The venue said in a statement: “The AS I LAY DYING band made the difficult decision to cancel their entire European tour, which was to include a Warsaw concert on November 26 at the Progresja club. All tickets purchased for this concert can be refunded directly at the point of purchase. We count on the artists’ quick return to Poland!”
It’s worth noting that the band has not made any official statement regarding Kendrick‘s departure or the show cancellations yet.
AS I LAY DYING is scheduled to release their eighth full-length studio album, Through Storms Ahead, out November 15, 2024 via Napalm Records.
