Title track “Stygian Dreams” is such a beautiful piece with its strong guitar riff and a sweet an simple keyboarding. Guitars in “Stygian Dreams” simply seem to be telling a story. There are eight tracks in “Stygian Dreams” and they are a bit linear. By linear I mean that they aren’t so different from each other. To me that’s not a bad thing because sometimes one need to know what to expect from a band, and I like what I hear in “Stygian Dreams.” No doubt about that. Well, it’s not the end of the world to have an album with eight tracks that follow a pattern. By no means an awful thing. As I said once, on the other hand, it shows that Asphodelus have a personality and do what they believe in. Bands have to stick to their beliefs otherwise there is no reason to go on. By the way, the final sequence in “Where Freezing Spirits Fall” is a killer. The mesmerizing guitar phrase does a lot of damage creating the monstrous end.
Asphodelus “Stygian Dreams” will be released on February 15th via Terror from Hell Records.

I’m just a lucky guy who has chosen metal to live with for a long time. Metal changed my life for good. It made me more confident and stronger. Metalheads are naturally far away from the mass mediocrity and don’t accept impostures from anybody else. Metal is more than music, it’s a life changing oportunity!
