Take a long breath before listening to Bastard Cröss “Crossripper” because its insane pace will make the fan headbang all the time with no stops. “Crossripper” is one of those albums built up with so much anger, but so much anger. This anger spreads throught the album and takes the fan, whose unique will is to headbang, defenseless.
“Crossripper” is a homage to angry guitars and speed-of-the-light drumming with plus of some raging vocals. Bastard Cröss follow the path of bands as Warfare, Nuclear Assault and many others. However, the band that stands out as usual is Slayer, the band all Metal bands pay their tribute liking them or not due to their immense contribution to Extreme Metal and Metal music in general. It is not only the fast pacing songs, but also the frenetic dynamic the band imposes its music. Too hard to stand still, I have to say.
The intense pounding of “Parasitic” gives the warm welcome to the fan. From it, the fan will realize exactly what “Crossripper” is, an intense adrenalized arsekicking 1980’s fueled music. The interesting fact is to realize the role of the bass to Metal music which is to give the pulsating energy of the songs. On the other hand, tittle track “Crossripper“ is a great view of the drums role giving the extra power and that pounding effect that makes us headbang. The song is a non-stop hitting hard with a cool chant in the end. But it is with “Lycan Knights” that Bastard Cröss gas up giving everything they got in terms of speed and heavyness. As I aforementioned, this album is a celebration of speed and heavyness. Things cool down a little with “Headless“ that commences with a cool riffing, however, as soon as the fan realizes, the track gets up on speed and give the feeling of a continuous hitting on the nether regions.
I just love albums like “Crossripper.” They are a celebration of the best Metal music has to offer the fan; an energetic music with lots of adrenaline. It is impossible to stand still.

I’m just a lucky guy who has chosen metal to live with for a long time. Metal changed my life for good. It made me more confident and stronger. Metalheads are naturally far away from the mass mediocrity and don’t accept impostures from anybody else. Metal is more than music, it’s a life changing oportunity!
