Fan Joins GREEN DAY On Stage, Gets Kicked Off By BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG After Playing OASIS Song (Video)

Billie Joe Armstrong Kicks Fan From Playing Oasis

GREEN DAY frontman Billie Joe Armstrong made headlines this week after a fan’s unexpected choice of song led to a swift exit from the stage.

During the band’s performance on June 30 at Luxexpo in Luxembourg, Armstrong carried on a GREEN DAY tradition — inviting a fan on stage to play guitar on the band’s iconic closer, “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” However, things quickly took a turn when the fan grabbed the guitar and strummed the unmistakable intro to OASIS’ “Wonderwall.”

Armstrong, visibly unimpressed, interrupted with a blunt “Oh, f**k me,” before calmly taking the guitar back and telling the fan, “Nice try,” as security escorted him off the stage. The moment, captured on TikTok, quickly went viral.

The incident even caught the attention of Liam Gallagher, who chimed in on X (formerly Twitter) the next day with a cheeky remark: “Best song of the night.”

The moment adds a layer of irony given that OASIS is set to begin their reunion tour this Friday in Cardiff, just as Green Day continues their own massive global run.
