BLACK LABEL SOCIETY has dropped their brand-new single, “Broken and Blind,” via MNRK Heavy / Spinefarm. The track marks the band’s third release leading up to their highly anticipated new album, set to arrive in early 2026.
Following 2025’s “Lord Humungus” and 2024’s “The Gallows,” the new single continues the band’s signature blend of crushing riffs, soulful grooves, and Zakk Wylde’s unmistakable voice and guitar tone. “Broken and Blind” is now available on all major digital streaming platforms, accompanied by an official music video directed by longtime collaborator Justin Reich.
Frontman Zakk Wylde offered his own humorous take on the track’s inspiration, saying: “What’s going on gang? This is Zakk Wylde of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. This is a new song called ‘Broken And Blind’. The song is about peanut butter and chocolate and what happens when you don’t have any of it. My soul is broken and I’m blind with rage if I don’t have any peanut butter and chocolate, so there you go, it’s a new song called ‘Broken And Blind’. Thank you, have a great day.”
In April 2024, Zakk Wylde revealed to Scott Davidson of Chicago’s Rebel Radio 92.5 FM that he and his BLACK LABEL SOCIETY bandmates were working on their next album. The upcoming record will be the band’s twelfth studio release, following Doom Crew Inc., which was released in November 2021 through MNRK Heavy.
Since forming BLACK LABEL SOCIETY in 1998, Zakk Wylde has balanced the band’s activities with his long-standing role in Ozzy Osbourne‘s band, which began over three and a half decades ago. Two BLACK LABEL SOCIETY albums, Order Of The Black (2010) and Catacombs Of The Black Vatican (2014), cracked the top five on the hard rock album charts.
