IRON MAIDEN‘s upcoming “Run For Your Lives” tour will span 2025 and 2026, featuring a setlist packed with deep cuts. Bruce Dickinson has teased that the band will be performing songs they’ve rarely, if ever, played live before.
He said in a message, while wishing fans happy 2025: “Hello folks. This is my tour pass for 2024. That’ll get me anywhere in 2024, but I don’t need that anymore now because 2025 is gonna be something special. Not just because of the tour pass. Honestly, we are pushing the boat out with the tour. Not that I need to tell anybody, ’cause basically the tour is sold out already. So for those of you who have bought tickets, which is like all of you, it’s gonna be really, really cool. I’m really looking forward to it. We’re gonna be doing stuff we’ve never, ever done before, and it’ll be a setlist for the ages. So, I’ll see you there. And it’s not gonna stop in 2025. It’s gonna roll into 2026 ’cause there’s parts of the world that we need to get to that we can’t get to in 2025. So there you go.”
The “Run For Your Lives” world tour kicks off in Hungary in May 2025 and will run (so far) through July 2025, concluding in Germany.
IRON MAIDEN’s longtime drummer, Nicko McBrain, performed his final show with the band earlier this month in São Paulo, Brazil.
The 72-year-old British musician officially announced his retirement on December 7 via a statement on MAIDEN‘s website and social media channels. He confirmed that the concert at Allianz Parque in São Paulo would be his last with the legendary heavy metal group.
Although stepping away from touring, McBrain assured fans he will remain closely connected to IRON MAIDEN, contributing to various projects with the band while also focusing on personal endeavors and his ongoing business ventures.
On December 8, IRON MAIDEN introduced Simon Dawson as their new touring drummer. Dawson, a seasoned session drummer, is also a longtime collaborator of Steve Harris in BRITISH LION.
