BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE Break Silence On TRIVIUM Tour Controversy In New Statement

Bullet For My Valentine Trivium Tour Cancelled

The aftermath of the canceled “Poisoned Ascendancy Tour” continues to unfold, as BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE have finally broken their silence with an official statement addressing the situation. The now-defunct co-headlining tour—originally planned to run through all of 2025—was meant to celebrate the 20th anniversaries of two landmark metal albums: The Poison by BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and Ascendancy by TRIVIUM.

What was initially billed as a dream lineup for fans of early 2000s metalcore turned sour over the weekend, when TRIVIUM bassist and vocalist Paolo Gregoletto publicly pointed the finger at BFMV frontman Matt Tuck. In a blunt social media post, Gregoletto accused Tuck of being the catalyst behind the tour’s sudden collapse, saying he “pulled the plug” and was “the sole decision maker of the band.” The statement didn’t stop there—TRIVIUM followed up with a now-viral TikTok, claiming Tuck “has no respect for us or our crew.”

Until now, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE had remained silent on the matter, prompting speculation and debate across fan communities and online forums. Their newly released statement does not directly respond to TRIVIUM’s accusations, but it confirms that the band made “the difficult decision to withdraw from the remaining tour dates due to unforeseen circumstances.”

The lack of a detailed explanation leaves much of the situation shrouded in mystery, and fans are left wondering what happened behind the scenes to derail such a promising tour. In the meantime, TRIVIUM have indicated that they plan to move forward with their Ascendancy anniversary celebrations in some capacity, hinting at a restructured North American leg.

Whether this public falling out marks the end of the long-standing camaraderie between the two bands is anyone’s guess. But as it stands, the “Poisoned Ascendancy Tour” has become yet another cautionary tale in the world of co-headlining endeavors—ambitious in scope, but fragile in execution.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE’s full statement can be read below:

“Hey guys, Bullet here

“As we head into the final shows of The Poisoned Ascendancy tour, we want to thank everyone who’s come out to celebrate with us. The shows have been phenomenal and we’ve loved connecting with every single one of you.

“Being in this band is the most important thing to the four of us. We’re incredibly grateful to have been given the chance to look back at a pair of life-changing albums for us & Trivium, who we have nothing but respect and admiration for. To have a career spanning over 20+ years is an incredible achievement, and we understand all the dedication and sacrifice that comes with that. The celebration of both these albums has been a career highlight for us, there’s 5 shows left out here in the US and then we embark upon a full month of summer festivals in June which we’re really looking forward to.

“With that being said, the four of us collectively feel that the time is right for us to divert our full attention towards the next chapter of Bullet For Valentine. We can’t wait to get back in the studio later this summer and finish what we promise you is our best album to date. To go along with this, we are already starting to make plans for the 2026 & 2027 touring cycles, hitting every corner. We are super excited to drop new music for you all. We value our fans above all else and are forever grateful for your support. We’ll be back with all of you very soon.”
