COREY TAYLOR On Feud With CHAD KROEGER: ‘He’s The One Who F**king Started It’

Corey Taylor says that he has been “trying to bury” his dispute with NICKELBACK after Chad Kroeger blasted STONE SOUR as “NICKELBACK Lite” and called out Taylor for allegedly saying that it was “easy” to write a hit song.

In an interview with Sweden’s Metal Covenant on May 27 in Stockholm, NICKELBACK frontman Chad Kroeger said that STONE SOUR sounds like NICKELBACK Lite and has challenged Corey Taylor to “write a hit song.”

Corey Taylor has responded to Kroeger during in-studio appearance on the Arizona radio station KUPD:

“You know what? I’ve never said it was easy to write a hit song,” Corey said. “I don’t know what the hell planet he’s living on. Apparently it’s Planet Kroeger, and there must be good weed there, ’cause he’s an idiot.”

Taylor added that he was “so cued up to say some stuff” about Chad but then he “just started reading all the comments online” in response to Kroeger‘s words about STONE SOUR and SLIPKNOT. “I don’t have to say a damn thing — he is not a liked person,” Corey said. “That’s all we have to say about it.”

During a brand new chat with JunkeeCorey laughed when Kroeger‘s comments were brought up, saying: “I have been f*cking trying to bury that for months now! It’s out of my hands, man! [STONE SOUR] played in Sydney [Australia] over the weekend, and people started a ‘F*ck NICKELBACK‘ chant. I’m, like, ‘F*ck, I’m never gonna get away from this!'”

He continued: “It’s so f*cking funny, especially when I’m seeing all of these tweets and sh*t from f*cking NICKELBACK fans. I’m, like, ‘He’s the one who f*cking started it! I didn’t say a f*cking word!’

“What are you gonna do? You can’t control what people say, no matter how Trump feels about it. All you can do is ride the wave. Sometimes you’ll get f*cking wiped out. Other times, you’ll stay on the board. It’s fine.”
