Corey Taylor has discussed the rumor that SLIPKNOT will break up after the release of the band’s next album.
SLIPKNOT will release their new album, The End, So Far, on September 30 via Roadrunner Records. Ever since the album has been announced, speculation has been rife that the name is a reference to the fact that the LP will mark the end of the band’s recording career.
Now, Taylor told the crowd at the Hills Of Rock festival in Plovdiv, Bulgaria during band’s 21 July concert: “I’ll tell you what, some of you might have heard the news that SLIPKNOT has a new album coming out very, very soon. The name of that album is called The End, So Far. And for those doomsday motherf**kers who think that SLIPKNOT are gonna break up, that is not the case. This simply represents the end of one moment and the beginning of the rest of our f**king lives. Do you understand what I’m f**king saying to you out there?”
Produced by SLIPKNOT and Joe Barresi, The End, So Far is available for pre-order with several vinyl variants at Slipknot1.com. The End, So Far includes the band’s 2021 surprise single “The Chapeltown Rag” and follows 2019’s We Are Not Your Kind, which marked SLIPKNOT‘s third consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The release made a massive global impact with No. 1 debuts in the official album charts of twelve countries around the world, including the U.K., Australia, Canada and Mexico, with Top 5 debuts in an additional twelve countries including Germany, France and Sweden.
The album is available to pre-order from Amazon at this location.
