DAVE GROHL’s Daughter VIOLET Fronts Surprise NIRVANA Reunion At FireAid Concert (Video)

NIRVANA‘s surviving members reunited for a surprise performance at FireAid, playing four of their iconic grunge hits. This marked Dave Grohl‘s first public appearance since revealing he fathered a child outside of his marriage in September.

The performance featured four different female vocalists. St. Vincent (Annie Clark), a multi-Grammy nominee, opened with a powerful rendition of “Breed,” backed by Grohl, bassist Krist Novoselic, and guitarist Pat Smear.

SONIC YOUTH‘s Kim Gordon followed, delivering a fierce vocal performance on “School.”

Punk icon Joan Jett then took the stage, lending her distinctive voice to “Territorial Pissings.”

However, the final singer was a delightful surprise: Dave Grohl‘s 18-year-old daughter, Violet. Her rendition of “All Apologies” was deeply moving, culminating in a particularly touching moment when she and her father shared the song’s closing lines. Notably, this marked the only time Dave Grohl sang during the set, though he refrained from any other remarks to the audience.
