Serbian death metal newcomers DEADSPAWNED have just unleashed their debut demo single, “Demonarch,” marking the band’s first official studio release. The track arrives alongside a newly released music video, giving fans an early taste of the band’s uncompromising sound and vision.
DEADSPAWNED was conceived by guitarist Milan Dobrosavljević, best known as the founding axeman of Serbian death metal division SACRAMENTAL BLOOD. Following his departure from another legendary Serbian deathrash act, SCAFFOLD, Dobrosavljević decided to continue exploring a similar extreme musical direction under a new banner. In early May 2024, he joined forces with drummer Nemanja Bubalo (INFIDEL), officially giving birth to DEADSPAWNED.
The lineup quickly solidified with the addition of guitarist Slobodan Vukotić (HASTE, TOXIC TRACE) and bassist Marko Blagojević (VERGEL, LIGHT DENIED), while vocal duties were taken over by Jovan Josipović of HSF/HASTE, rounding out a formidable five-piece unit.
Despite being a relatively new band, DEADSPAWNED have already begun making a name for themselves on the live circuit, sharing the stage with heavyweights such as MALEVOLENT CREATION, DEFEATED SANITY, DESASTER, TO VIOLENTLY VOMIT, PUTERAEON, PUTRID PILE, HYPNOS, and FLESHLESS, among others.
“Demonarch” follows the band’s first release, Afterlives (live at Hellhammer Open Air Fest) from 2025, and serves as a clear statement of intent ahead of future material. With its brutal execution and seasoned lineup, the debut demo single positions DEADSPAWNED as a name worth watching in the Serbian and wider European death metal underground.
