Death Metal at its purest form. That’s what my dear children of night will find here with Demiurgon “Miasmatic Deathless Chamber,” whose enigmatic and dark cover can be translated into lots of details. The same richness of details that the album musically delivers the fan plus the insane ferosity. Do not get me wrong, but this album is not for apprentices, it is for fans who already know the hard knocking of pure Death Metal.
Album warmer “Worldwide Grave“ sums it up everything the fan will find in the album with an outstanding ferosity with no breaks to even breath. The band prepared neat instrumentals full of little details that enrich the atmosphere created. To break down a little the constant punching “Worldwide Grave“ has some small, almost undistinguishable, breaks that pass some kind of relief. The guitars are sometimes mesmerizing with repeating riffs, other times they are full of details perforemed fast as the speed of light. “The Era of Defiance” is a little more standard Death Metal with some guitar interventions that seem to be poping up out of nowhere. I really like this feature. It is amazing how guitar duo Emanuele Otani and Dani Benincasa take turns and deliver some very neat lines combining aggression and finess at the same time. Well, aggression is a required element of Death Metal; but, finesse is just something else to enrich the fan’s experience. “Aspiring to Omnipotence“ is full of them all plus an insane drumming that gives them blast beats in a constant and relentless manner. Sometimes Demiurgon give little breaks, as aforementioned, to cool off the mood, or to prepare for some more rapid fire. The rapid fire the band is known for, if you know what I am saying. “Miasmatic Deathless Chamber” is not fan album for the weak at heart. As it is usual, tittle track “Miasmatic Deathless Chamber” changes the game a little with a more cadenced intro leading to a even more cadenced main guitar riff. Again the drumming is really something apart. I have to say I was very impressed with Riccardo Valent’s technique.
Ok, “Miasmatic Deathless Chamber” is an album for fans that like the combination of a pristine instrumental technique with the hard punching of Death Metal. We have to agree that this is not for everyone.
