DISTURBED frontman David Draiman and his fiancée Sarah Uli have officially tied the knot. The couple exchanged vows on Sunday, November 16, during an outdoor ceremony in their home state of Florida.
Earlier in the day, Draiman hinted at the special occasion on social media, sharing a photo from a group dinner with Sarah and writing: “Marrying this goddess today.”
Following the ceremony, the singer shared wedding photos on his social accounts, thanking friends and family for being part of the celebration: “Thanks so much to everyone who was a part of this amazing day!”
Sarah also posted a few glimpses from the big day, captioning them: “Married my best fiend! And it was the best day ever!!! I guess this is why people have weddings!”
Their journey to the altar began with a highly publicized proposal earlier this year. On May 9, during DISTURBED’s concert in Sacramento, California, David surprised Sarah on stage before the band’s second-to-last song, “The Light”, as part of their “The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour”.
He brought Sarah out to the spotlight, pulled her close, and said into the microphone: “Sarah, my love, you have made my life so much better. You are the light in the darkness for me. I love you more than anything I have ever loved in this world, and it would be the absolute pinnacle of my life and my existence…”
Draiman then revealed a small box from his pocket and got down on one knee. “Sarah Uli, will you marry me?” he asked. Sarah quickly nodded yes, and David placed the ring on her finger. Turning to the crowd, he added with a smile: “In case you didn’t hear, she said ‘yes’.”
