DROWNING POOL’s upcoming South American tour has officially been canceled before it could even begin, with the run originally set to kick off on May 20 in Bogotá, Colombia.
The decision was confirmed in a statement from the tour organizers, who explained that the cancellation was driven by poor advance sales across all scheduled stops.
According to the official notice, the move “was made jointly by all local promoters involved due to low ticket sales recorded in all cities on the tour.”
The statement also outlined the refund process for fans who had already secured tickets: “Customers who have already purchased tickets should request a refund directly from the company responsible for ticket sales in their respective city.
“For more information and specific guidance regarding the refund process, please contact the local promoter.
“Thank you for your understanding.”
The now-scrapped seven-date trek was scheduled to run through May 31 in Curitiba, Brazil, with additional stops planned in Lima (Peru), Santiago (Chile), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Belo Horizonte (Brazil), and São Paulo (Brazil).
When the tour was first announced in early March, DROWNING POOL expressed excitement about finally returning to the region, stating: “We’re super stoked to be playing in South America for the first time!”
Despite the cancellation, the band has remained active in the studio and released several new tracks over the past year and a half, including “Madness” (April 2025), “The Wrong One” (February 2026), and “Revolution (The Final Amen)” (September 2024). The latter marked a significant milestone, as it was the first song completed in 13 years by guitarist C.J. Pierce, drummer Mike Luce, and bassist Stevie Benton alongside vocalist Ryan McCombs.
DROWNING POOL, a name etched in the score of modern rock history, roars back into the spotlight with thunderous energy and uncompromising power. The band’s unmistakable sound, synonymous with raw energy and unapologetic attitude, returns to captivate audiences once again.
Known for their iconic anthem “Bodies,” DROWNING POOL needs no introduction. This breakout single propelled them to international recognition, leaving an indelible mark on the nu metal landscape. The song’s relentless energy and defiant spirit resonated with a generation, becoming an anthem for moshers, metalheads, and fans of electrifying live performances.
Ryan McCombs played a pivotal role in the band’s evolution, joining their ranks in the aftermath of the tragic loss of beloved frontman Dave Williams. His powerful vocals and charismatic stage presence breathed new life into Drowning Pool, solidifying their status as metal titans. Songs like “37 Stitches,” “Feel Like I Do,” and “Turn So Cold” catapulted them to new heights, earning them a place among the genre’s heavyweights.
