Alternative rock veterans FOO FIGHTERS are set to tour Asia this fall. The multi-platinum band, back on the road, has announced the following dates so far:
- Oct 2 – Jakarta, Indonesia – Carnaval Ancol
- Oct 4 – Singapore – Singapore Grand Prix (Marina Bay)
- Oct 7 – Tokyo, Japan – Saitama Super Arena
- Oct 10 – Osaka, Japan – Glion Arena Kobe
The band has been out of the public eye since September, when frontman Dave Grohl made headlines by confirming he had fathered a child outside of his marriage—a revelation that cast a shadow over the group’s future activities. The band’s last performance was on September 6, 2024, marking the end of their tour for the time being.
In addition to the emotional fallout surrounding Grohl’s personal life, the band has also undergone a lineup change. Drummer Josh Freese was dismissed last week under undisclosed circumstances. The sudden departure has fueled speculation over his replacement, with 18-year-old Shane Hawkins—son of the late FOO FIGHTERS drummer Taylor Hawkins—emerging as a likely candidate. Shane has previously joined the band onstage, and fans have speculated that a more permanent role could be in the works.
