FOO FIGHTERS Replaces PANTERA At Germany’s ROCK AM RING And ROCK IM PARK Festivals

Foo Fighters 2022

FOO FIGHTERS have taken the place of PANTERA on the billing of the Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals in Germany this spring.

As previously reported, the newly-formed PANTERA lineup – featuring Anselmo and Rex Brown on bass, alongside Zakk Wylde on guitar (Ozzy OsbourneBLACK LABEL SOCIETY) and Charlie Benante on drums (ANTHRAX) – was set to appear at Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park, two simultaneous festivals taking place June 2-4 in Nürburgring and Nürnberg. After thorough conversations with performers, associates and fans, the festival organizers have decided to take PANTERA off the lineup.

On Monday night (January 23), the organizers of Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park took to Twitter to share the same message: “The band PANTERA will not perform at Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring 2023 as announced.”

FOO FIGHTERS‘ addition to the festivals was announced by the bandmembers themselves via their official Instagram, with the band writing, “Germany – we’ll see you Friday, June 2nd at Rock Am Ring and Sunday, June 4th at Rock Im Park! Tickets on sale now!”

Last month, the FOO FIGHTERS have vowed to continue as a different form following the unfortunate passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins.
