Judas Priest Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Ceremony

During a recent interview with Metal Talk, K.K. Downing opened up about his reunion with the former members of JUDAS PRIEST at their Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony held on November 5th at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

At the induction ceremony, Downing sat with the PRIEST musicians at a shared table. He had an engaging conversation with drummer Scott Travis and also exchanged pleasantries with singer Rob Halford and bassist Ian Hill. It was especially significant to speak again to longtime friend Glenn Tipton as well as Richie Faulkner, who had taken his place in 2011.

On what it was like to speak and play with FaulknerDowning said: “Yes, I managed to have a chat with him, and we shared the stage and even jammed together. It could have been awkward, but it wasn’t. I’ve nothing but respect for him, and I know he’s working on other projects outside PRIEST, and I wish him well.” He laughingly added: “The only potentially awkward moments were because I like a lot of room and have always raced around the stage, and we had to avoid each other.”

PRIEST received the Musical Excellence Award at the event, which honored EminemDolly PartonDURAN DURANLionel RichiePat BenatarEURYTHMICS and Carly Simon in the Performers category.
