Guitarist Alexandra Lioness has released a cover video for MEGADETH‘s track “Ashes In Your Mouth” featuring Fernando Pizarro, guitar player of MELLOWDEATH and DARK WHISPER. “Ashes In Your Mouth” track is taken from MEGADETH‘s fifth studio album Countdown To Extinction released in 1992. Alexandra Lioness, birth name Aleksandra Stamenkovic, is a guitarist of a Serbian all-girl old school speed / thrash metal band JENNER.
Old School Speed/Thrash All-Girl metal band JENNER from Belgrade, Serbia released a new EP The Test of Time, last year. Check out their music video for the track “Night Without Dawn“ here.
JENNER is known as the ONLY all female speed metal band in the region.
Formed in December 2013 with the goal of following their influences JUDAS PRIEST, WARLOCK, GRIM REAPER, playing in packed out clubs to the Belgrade audience, they realized they had something very special to offer.
After spending more time together and acquiring their guitarist Aleksandra Stamenković, they took on a more ferocious and faster sound in the likes of ANTHRAX, OVERKILL, EXODUS, AGENT STEEL and looked up to their fellow Serbain thrash friends SPACE EATER, ALITOR, DEADLY MOSH for further influence.
OnJune 23th, 2016 they played an opening show for NERVOSA, thrash metal band from Brazil, along with WOLF’S HUNGER, WAR-HEAD and NEMESIS, also thrash metal bands from Serbia.
