GUNS N’ ROSES Reportedly Rehearsing ‘Sabbath Bloody Sabbath’ Ahead Of BLACK SABBATH’s Final Show

Guns N' Roses 2023

As BLACK SABBATH prepare to take their final bow at the massive “Back to the Beginning” concert in Birmingham this Saturday, GUNS N’ ROSES appear to be paying tribute in their own heavy way.

According to SFP Magazine, Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, and the rest of the GN’R crew reportedly soundchecked BLACK SABBATH’s classic “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” ahead of their July 2 show at Dahls Arena in Trondheim, Norway. While no audio or video of the rehearsal has surfaced at the time of writing, the report has fueled speculation that the band may be planning something special for the upcoming historic event.

The timing is no coincidence — GUNS N’ ROSES are among the heavy hitters set to perform at BLACK SABBATH’s “Back to the Beginning” concert on July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham. The monumental show marks Ozzy Osbourne’s final live performance and reunites the original BLACK SABBATH lineup: Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.

The event, which also features METALLICA, SLAYER, TOOL, PANTERA, ANTHRAX, ALICE IN CHAINS, HALESTORM and more, is shaping up to be one of the most defining moments in metal history — a celebration of legacy, farewell, and unity in heavy music.

While it remains to be seen whether GN’R will break out “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” live on stage, the mere possibility has fans buzzing. If it happens, it would mark the band’s first known performance of a BLACK SABBATH song — and a fitting tribute to the godfathers of metal as they exit the live stage for good.

Stay tuned for updates from what promises to be a legendary night in Birmingham.
