The fan that is more connected to the roots of Metal music will recognise many bands here with the album. Most importantly, Led Zeppelin and, of course, ZZ Top which is the band that I guess infleunced more the guys of Hard Blue undoubtedly. Maybe, just maybe, it’s possible to link each track of the album with one band, but this an exercise I won’t do. Instrumental “Jelly Jam” has some wondrous bass lines. They are thick, with that great metalic sound, and very well performed. A rare case where the bass overcome the guitars. Bass lines are much more interesting here than the guitars.
This is the album I’m sure won’t please many of may dear fans. However, I know that the few that will like it will do it a lot. “Hard Blue 2” has that intensity with lots of finesse and great bass lines. An album that the fan notices all the care with the songwriting and the production. It seems that the band gets well so easily while playing. As a wise man said ‘the Blues is a good man feeling bad because of a woman.’ Nailed it!
Hard Blue “Hard Blue 2” was independently released on April 12th.
