Robbie Williams has officially premiered his much-anticipated musical collaboration with legendary BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi, titled “Rocket.”
Co-written by Robbie Williams, Karl Brazil, Tony Iommi, and Tom Longworth, “Rocket” serves as the lead single from Williams’ forthcoming 13th studio album, BRITPOP, set to be released this autumn under Columbia Records.
Described as a “high octane rock track,” “Rocket” features an instantly anthemic chorus, powerful drum beats, and a signature guitar solo by Iommi, whose influence as a heavy metal pioneer is unmistakable throughout the song.
The accompanying music video for “Rocket” was filmed across London and Birmingham, the latter being Tony Iommi’s hometown. The video is scheduled for release on Friday, 23rd May.
