Hexvessel’s “All Tree” is much more than an acoustic effort, it’s an album of modern medieval ballads written to be sang by modern bards. Hexvessel did their best at creating the better approach to a medieval atmosphere to wrap up the thirteen tracks with a beautiful and harmonious package. That put, it’s possible to divide “All Tree” in two completely different moments and vibes: the modern medieval bard tales and the 1970ish folk ballads. All thirteen tracks are made of a very delicate texture of sound made by violins, vocals and acoustic guitars. This is an effort that recalls a lot Blind Guardian’s “Forgotten Tales” which has the same bard motto. But, besides that, “All Tree” is full of a depictable melancholy and sadness. Go right to “Closing Circles” and you’ll get what I’m saying. “Closing Circles” is a sad, mourningfull ballad which makes us go into it.
On the other page, some songs as “Old Tree” and “Birthmark” sound much more a 1970s acoustic and folk piece as America turned famous. A delicate piece of voice and acoustic guitar with some melodious vocals. I am perfectly aware that most of our viewers are not exactly used to this kind of music. It may not be Metal, but as you know, there are lots of Metal bands that appreciate this sonance and once in a while record songs or albums like this.
First track “Blessing” prepares the ground to what will come; a tsunami of thoughtful emotions. In fact, “Blessing” is a song that gets you by your innards for its power and feeling. It’s hard to get unharmed through “All Tree” with all its subtle emotion, but still strong enough to make you wonder. It’s impossible hear it and don’t get dragged by its emotional content. Well, as a matter of fact, that’s what music is for. Do you not agree?

I’m just a lucky guy who has chosen metal to live with for a long time. Metal changed my life for good. It made me more confident and stronger. Metalheads are naturally far away from the mass mediocrity and don’t accept impostures from anybody else. Metal is more than music, it’s a life changing oportunity!
