The psychedelic forest folk band HEXVESSEL return for the second time to the Leafmeal Festival and announce a very special show at the festival Warm-Up on November 4th, 2016. Founding partners Mat McNerney and Marja Konttinen ceremonially unfurl the music of HEXVESSEL and spirit the fragments into the wind. They will invoke stripped down and acoustic renditions of songs from HEXVESSEL‘s back-catalogue, including previously unheard material, in a darkly intimate and exclusive performance. Only at this event HEXVESSEL will release a cassette tape limited to 30 copies with previously unreleased demo recordings. The Romanian artist Costin Chioreanu (twilight13media.com) will be at present to draw the cover artwork for each individual tape. Here is the tracklisting:

HEXVESSEL will be supported by their Century Media label mates MOTOROWL who released their debut album “Om Generator” in August 2016. The British Ghost Cult magazine described them as “a melting pot of different influences; Royal Thunder, The Order of Israfel, early Witchcraft, maybe even some aspects of modern Opeth, and blend them into something with plenty of energy and quality.”
The event is taking place as part of the Leafmeal Festival Warm-Up night Friday November 4th, 2016 at Tapir Media gallery, Rheinische Str. 12 in Dortmund, Germany and starts at 9pm. The main festival is on Saturday November 5th at the FZW in Dortmund with HEXVESSEL’s Finnish friends Jess And The Ancient Ones, Avatarium, Entombed A.D., Voivod, Secrets Of The Moon, Villagers Of Ioannina City and 6 more bands.
