Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara is a huge 1990’s grunge fan. He wrote about NIRVANA and Dave Grohl on Instagram on Wednesday.
“NIRVANA was the band and music I listened to endlessly when I was a teenager. Jumping around with long hair and tossing my lengthy skinny body into the walls.
As much as I liked Kurt’s vocals and Krist’s base guitar nothing was better than hearing Dave’s powerful blasting drumming. When Dave started the band FOO FIGHTERS I couldn’t be happier. He became one of the most talented and successful musicians in the world. It was an honor to have met him.
Music has incredible power and can inspire, motivate and transform. It makes us move and it moves us. It gives color to our lives.”
