Concert promoter Live Nation has confirmed that a scheduling conflict in Los Angeles has forced IRON MAIDEN to move one of its upcoming concerts at BMO Stadium.
The British heavy metal legends were originally set to perform a sold-out show at the 22,000-capacity venue on Saturday, September 26. However, due to restrictions on simultaneous events within the Exposition Park area, the concert will now take place one day later, on Sunday, September 27.
The change comes as a result of the highly anticipated college football matchup between the USC Trojans and the Oregon Ducks, which is scheduled for the same evening at the nearby Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, a stadium that holds around 100,000 fans. City and venue regulations prevent large-scale events from taking place simultaneously within the park complex.
In a statement addressing the situation, Live Nation explained: “This is an unprecedented circumstance and is unfortunately entirely outside of either our or the band’s control. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding as we comply with venue and city regulations.”
IRON MAIDEN manager Rod Smallwood also commented on the unexpected development, revealing that the band only recently learned about the conflict.
“We were completely shocked when we were told about this unique situation affecting our sold-out L.A. show on the Saturday night. We have worked with the team at Live Nation, and rather than cancelling this second show, we were thankfully able to move the show to the following night, Sunday, September 27.
“We are naturally mortified at the issues and inconvenience raised for our fans who hold tickets, but there is sadly nothing we can do other than move the show a day later.”
IRON MAIDEN’s previously scheduled performance at BMO Stadium on Friday, September 25 will proceed as planned.
Fans who already purchased tickets for the original September 26 show will still be able to attend, as all tickets will automatically be honored for the rescheduled concert on September 27. Ticket holders have also received email notifications with additional details regarding the change.
The Los Angeles shows are part of IRON MAIDEN’s ongoing “Run For Your Lives” 50th-anniversary world tour, which is set to continue through 2026 before wrapping up with performances at K-Arena Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan. Following the extensive anniversary run, the band plans to step away from touring in 2027 for a well-earned break.
