IRON MAIDEN guitarist Janick Gers slipped and fell on stage during the band’s November 20 performance at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, Mexico. Watch the video below.
Just last month, Gers accidentally tossed his guitar into the crowd. As the band was nearing the end of their set, Gers was performing his signature guitar swings when, in one instance, the guitar slipped and flew towards the audience. Fortunately, the guitar was swiftly returned, allowing him to continue his performance routine. See video from that accident here as well:
During a recent interview with Australia’s “Everblack” podcast, Steve Harris was asked whether any new music from IRON MAIDEN is on the horizon.
“No, not at the moment,” bassist responded (as transcribed by Blabbermouth). “There’s nothing in the works at the moment. But that’s not to say there won’t be.
“Bruce [Dickinson, IRON MAIDEN singer] has only just done his solo tour. So he spent quite a long time just doing that. So, I don’t know. Yeah. I mean, maybe we’ll find time to cram [a new album] in somewhere. You never know.”
When asked about his plans for the remainder of the year, Steve said: “I’m on tour for the next four months [with IRON MAIDEN and side project BRITISH LION] up till Christmas. So I’m not really sure what we’re doing after that. I suppose we’ll probably take a break with MAIDEN for a little while. I’ve got no plans at the moment for anything with BRITISH LION early part of next year. But if something comes in, I find it difficult to turn stuff down. So, we’ll see.”
IRON MAIDEN recently announced “Run For Your Lives” world tour set to embark on May 27 next year in Budapest, Hungary. The band will perform 27 stadium, festival, and arena shows across Europe. This tour commemorates 50 years since Steve Harris founded the band in late 1975, and fans can expect a special setlist covering tracks from nine studio albums, from Iron Maiden to Fear of the Dark, along with the most elaborate and spectacular show they’ve ever presented.
