JOURNEY Band Members Deliver Classic Hits Medley On ‘The Voice’ Season 28 Finale (Video)

Journey The Voice Season 28

Veteran rock icons JOURNEY brought their timeless catalog to prime-time television this week with a special appearance on the season 28 finale of NBC’s The Voice.

During Tuesday night’s broadcast (December 16), four members of JOURNEY’s current touring lineup delivered a crowd-pleasing medley featuring “Lights,” “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’” and the enduring anthem “Don’t Stop Believin’.” The performance also included appearances by The Voice coaches Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire, who joined the band onstage for a cover of “Lights.” Several fan-favorite contestants from the season were also incorporated into the set, which concluded with a powerful, sing-along rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

An official video of the performance can be viewed below.

Ahead of the broadcast, guitarist Neal Schon confirmed via social media that he would be appearing on The Voice alongside “members of the current JOURNEY touring band” as part of efforts to promote the group’s upcoming tour. He later clarified that the lineup for the appearance included Deen Castronovo (drums, vocals), Jason Derlatka (keyboards, vocals) and Todd Jensen (bass). Schon also noted that keyboardist Jonathan Cain and longtime singer Arnel Pineda were unable to participate.

“There were many other great TV opportunities that I had to turn down,” Schon wrote. “I want to work and promote after being off for close to a year.”

The televised performance comes just weeks after JOURNEY announced their “Final Frontier” farewell tour, which is scheduled to begin in early 2026. Presented by AEG Presents, the first North American leg will feature 60 dates, launching on February 28 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and concluding on July 2 in Laredo, Texas.

Marketed as “A Special Evening With Journey,” the Final Frontier tour promises an all-new production and a career-spanning setlist celebrating the band’s legacy. Fans can expect to hear classics such as “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Faithfully,” “Lights” and more, in what the band describes as a tribute to the music, the memories and the fans who made it all possible.
