Yesterday, we posted about HAVOK being pulled out from tour with MEGADETH, AMON AMARTH, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES and METAL CHURCH after refusing to sign an unacceptable management contract from Mustaine Management.
After that Dave Mustaine responded to that in a series of posts on his Twitter account.
That's untrue. @metalsucks don't have a clue, David Sanchez is lying if that's what he said. https://t.co/xCIMU4pa55

I never read gossip sites. They hurt our business, our community, the bands, the fans…who don't they hurt? https://t.co/885iXVTxFN

There's nothing to get. The guy lied, Metal Sucks bought the lie. End of story. https://t.co/lExD81fLMD

It's none of your business. They didn't pay their bills, what don't you get? I don't owe you anything Brian. https://t.co/ToV7nA0J8O

Cat got your tongue tough guy? It's different now you know they stiffed Justis for thousands of dollars, huh?! https://t.co/ToV7nA0J8O

That's what I thought. Silence. Ask the merch co. we got them what it was like getting paid. https://t.co/ToV7nA0J8O

Justis did more for them than anyone in ten years. https://t.co/7luh6G3mk1

They had an industry standard contract: the same I have. 5 months later still wouldn't sign it until they're dropped https://t.co/YYwqROWOoI

I was the 3rd side. They didn't pay Justis what he's owed or sign the ind. standard contract. I took care of em. Sad https://t.co/DsumsMNLXD

I gave them more cash, time, merch items, space, lights & sound than their contract said every night. Stupid me! https://t.co/vzHtFpAmzp

Now, Dave Mustaine‘s son, Justis, who runs Mustaine Management shared his side of the story: “I worked with HAVOK for one year. Despite getting HAVOK paid, marketed and exposed in that time- bringing them a new merch deal, booking agent, and overseeing what has clearly been their biggest year yet – I was compensated poorly for my work. I finally put a contract in front of them, which would secure me 15% of income (the industry standard). They refused to agree, so I dropped them. I wish HAVOK all the best in their efforts to be a professional band, but as evidenced by today’s gossip-mongering, they’ve still got a long way to go.
Great music, great band!”
